When to Go

Apr – Sep

Best overall: warm, dry, ideal for exploring cities, coastlines and islands. Venice Carnival in Feb/Mar, Milan Fashion Week in Feb & Sept, and the Palio horse race in Siena (Jul/Aug) are incredible cultural experiences if traveling slightly outside the peak summer months.
